Maple Ridge Wind Farm
As part of New
York's drive for alternative energy sources,
approximately 190 of these energy generating windmills have been erected
in the area. Tug Hill is one of the highest elevations
East of Lake Ontario and the wind tends to consistently blow
through the area, hence the Lake Effect Snow Storms that
bury the region each
Winter.
The windmills are located along the trails and offer a
unique Kodak moment you won't find anywhere else.
